Love at first Bite – An ode to a dentist

When you first bite into a Turkish delight your ears hear your taste buds sing the ‘hallelujah chorus’,  but its the sharp treble you feel after the last bite that makes you call your best buddy, life saver and ‘doc’ the dentist.

And You are all good to go….

but does he treat you right??

Would you rather go to…

or even HIM

Does He Make you Wait???

or treat you “Right @#$%#@! Away”

Does he make you laugh…
or Play games with you

Is He an animal

or do you feel YOU are changed when he’s done???

But the only thing he wants from you is a brush twice daily and…..

Jokes apart some times we think we are the ones who bought him his car but we forget we only paid for the BRIDGE 🙂

Time for some FUN Facts about the wonderful world of Dentistry
Many animals, such as beavers, aardvarks, rats, and horses, have teeth that are continuous in growth, that is, they never stop growing! They keep them “trimmed” by chewing and gnawing. You can actually tell a horses age by looking at its teeth.
George Washington had several dentures made of hippopotamus, cow, walrus teeth and elephant’s tusks.
Some other common tooth remedies from ancient times..for toothache, boil earthworms in oil and use the oil to put drops in your ear. To make loose teeth firm tie a frog to your jaw.
The first toothbrush with bristles was developed in China in 1948. The bristles were taken from hogs, and later horses and badgers. Nylon bristles were introduced in 1938 by Dupont. If you don’t floss you miss cleaning 35% of your tooth surfaces. Certain cheeses, including aged cheddar, Swiss and Monterey Jack, have been found to protect teeth from decay.  Your mouth produces over 25,000 quarts of saliva in a lifetime—that’s enough to fill two swimming pools. Saliva has many uses, including assisting you with your digestion and protects your teeth from bacteria in your mouth.
